Following a creative and chaotic career in advertising, Jez Groom coupled his experience in the realm of persuasion and influence with his science-driven nature to one of the world’s leading behavioural science consultants.

Jez is a Board Member of the global industry body, Bescy.org and is accredited by The Global Association of Applied Behavioural Scientists, GAABS.org. He runs his own personal consultancy, small wonder, that focusses exclusively on services the SME market and is also launching the world's first matchmaking service for behavioural science, findmybesci.com, which will assist Large Enterprise with pitch consultancy, recruitment and AI Technology partner solutions.
His motivation for pivoting into consulting was to democratise behavioural science; to make a subject traditionally only privy to academic debate or trivial dinner-party icebreakers, accessible to all people in organisations working towards positive change. Jez’s scientific background has noticeably informed his unwavering commitment to delivering measurably excellent results to his clients. Creativity runs throughout his work, but his approach is driven by science and delivered for people.

A driven and generous leader, devoted to developing people, Jez looks to bolster collaboration in the industry on a global scale. He is an Honorary Research Fellow in the Department of Psychology at City St George’s University, London; has shared fascinating insights on BBC Radio 4; featured on numerous podcasts; created a global network of scientists and created events for worldwide leaders; and shared frameworks designed to help businesses apply behavioural science to drive improvement through his book, “Ripple”.

After Co-Founding Ogilvy's Behavioural Science Practice, #ogilvychange in 2011, he founded Cowry Consulting in 2016. After a decade of his stewardship, Cowry Consulting has now been recognised in The FT’s Leading Management Consultancies rankings and together they’ve proven that Behavioural Science is a new capability and business tool in Management Consulting, one that creates both shared value for customers, colleagues and companies and sustained value for our communities and society.
